On July 17, Ro and I traveled for a mini-vacation to the Colonial Majestic Elegance Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, with friends Eamonn and Kori and Lisa and TJ.
Touch down at PUJ...
We love airports that don't have gates, we'll take the stairs!
Cerveza on the way to the resort.
No mas cerveza!
Mas cerveza!
Checking in with Eamonn, Kori, Lisa and TJ at the resort.
Touring paradise with Starlin, our Majestic Elegance Club tour guide.
Happy to be in paradise!
So the first stop was the beach! (Note the ominous clouds...this will be a common theme throughout the trip.)
And then Ro and TJ cleaned up for dinner. (???)
All dressed up for French cuisine.
Eamonn and Kori.
Lisa and TJ.
Mas cerveza!
Hitting the beach on day 2, which was short lived....
Because then the rains came. :(
Whenever it rained, we drank in the pool!
Or we ate! Our Dominican Habachi chef was awesome, perhaps even more skilled than his Japanese counterparts!
Eamonn proves very coordinated.
At the Habachi grill.
After dinner, we were off for some dancing at Coco's night club.
Dancing at Coco's.
Salsa dancing, and sweaty. Hace calor!
Day 3, walking the beach.
The Dominican Flag, and the winds from a tropical storm....and then more rain.
So Ro finds the native Dominicans for a few games of Dominoes. And yes, the Jamaican tore it up, much to Abuelo's dismay!
And as the rains passed, the sky cleared, and it was utterly breathtaking.
And the next day it rained, and our new camera broke....So no more photos!!!
