On Thursday, we had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner at Aunt Nancy's. The spread was delicious and of course we overate. We also got some great news from the family - it's GROWING! (So as not to spoil the news to those who may have not heard, more to follow on this in future posts, I'm sure).
Here are some photos from the dinner:
Suzanne and Sam, 2-getha 4-eva!
Sarah and Leslie love the DARK MEAT...
Nathan loves LEGS!
Suzanne, Sam, and Mumphy. On Thursday evening, we all stayed in, and Suzanne's awesome friends from NYC Laurie (childhood friend from Middletown) and her boyfriend Javier joined in on the good old-fashioned fun.
On Friday, we all slept until about 1:00 in the afternoon. All of this partying wore us out! Later that afternoon, Rohan and Sarah brought Leslie to our cousin David and Susan's house in New Haven. And we were in for a treat....their son, our cousin Todd, was in town! Todd has a pretty cool job that takes him far and wide, so it was great to be able to see him. We also got to see our great Aunt Virginia (94 years young), the matriarch of the family!
Sarah, Todd, and Rohan. And the news of our growing family did not stop there! On Saturday, we received the call that our cousin Mike got engaged to his girfriend Mahshid on their one-year anniversary! We met Mahshid for the first time at our wedding in August, and indeed they make a perfect couple! Mike and Mahshid met just about last Thanksgiving through eHarmony.com...I remember back to last Thanksgiving when Mike told me on the phone that he had just met a girl who seemed pretty great...To think that she was the one! Congrats Mike and Mahshid, we can't wait to celebrate your wedding with you in sunny Cali! (Oh, and by the way, engagements that occur on Thanksgiving weekend lead to AMAZING marriages...just ask Sarah and Rohan).
Here are Mike and Mahshid on the deck of the cruiseship where Mike proposed.Happy Thanksgiving to all! We have a lot to be Thankful for!
