Last weekend, we went to the new Yankee stadium. So this weekend, to be fair, we had to go to CitiField, the home of Rohan's beloved NY Mets! And just like Yankee stadium, it was indeed beautiful.
We approach the Left Field Gate on a beautiful, unusually summery, Saturday afternoon.
Inside the stadium, the Jackie Robinson Rotunda was stunning and moving.

Here is the immense scoreboard, as viewed from the steel covered bridge in the outfield sections. The look of the stadium was modern industrial, but with a nod to vintage styling.

Ro with a CitiBeer...$2 cheaper than at Yankee stadium! (My favorite thing about CitiField was the Knishes...so good!)
And, unlike the previous week (where, I hate to say it, the Yanks were slaughtered in the second inning), we actually saw a good game. The Mets won!
A final pose (and Queens salute from Suzanne) before taking off. Overall, I will admit, CitiField and the Mets are A-OK! Now back to the Yanks...
Oh, and lastly, least I forget, when we were done with baseball for the day, we headed to Brooklyn to see "Dining with Cirque This!", my cousin Andy's and friend Jason's entertaining circus/drama production. After the show, the cousins (and Sam) got together for a photo. (left to right: Suzanne, Sam, Leslie, Andy, and me). Factoid: Andy hooked Suzanne and Sam up! What a match!
