She's a MASTER!

On Friday, April 3rd, Suzanne presented her NYU Masters of Costume Studies thesis entitled, "Jungle Red and Dragon Ladies: American Femininities and the Modern Manicure" at NYU's Einstein Auditorium. And - pardon the pun - she NAILED it! It was truly fascinating, educational, and entertaining, and is perhaps the first paper to address the topic! Of course, we all did our nails for the big event.

Suzanne shows off the most beautiful manicure I have ever seen...a three-dimensional Japanese composition she had done earlier in the week...the photo does not do them justice.

After the presentation, the school threw a small reception where we discovered we like to wear the same colors (completely coincidentally...how many people do you know pair lilac and bright orange?)!

Sam was indeed proud!

After the reception, we accompanied Suzanne and many of her friends to a nearby Mexican restaurant, where a private room was reserved for the after-party!

Ro shows he approves of the Sangria (one of 20 pitchers ordered...basically one per person!)

One-half of the crowd toasts Suzanne!

The other half of the crowd toasts Suzanne!

I toast my little sister!

Again, Ro shows he approves of both the white and red Sangrias, and creates his own rose Sangria!

Maya enjoys a Margarita instead!

It was so nice catching up with Suzanne's long-time friends, including Richard!!!

Mazel Tov to Sonji! Now, welcome to the working world!
