On Friday night, I (Sarah) had the privilege of designing a surprise 60
th birthday for one of my mom's greatest friends, Lee
Guilmartin. Since the
Guilmartin's LOVE the movies (they go like 3 times per week), we decided to make the party movie-themed. Some of the highlights included the above star on the "Inn at
Middletown Walk of Fame..."
The movie-themed hurricane decor on the cocktail tables...
The director's clap-board napkins, of course!...
The stars, cameras, and film reels everywhere...
My homemade table assignment cards...
And the tables, which instead of being numbered, were named for a movie genre: Sci-
Fi...
Action!...
Comedy...
Western...
and Horror! (There were also Romance, Foreign Language, Documentary, and Animation tables!)
The guests took home their own box of gourmet white-chocolate covered popcorn!
